Brasov, Romania

Near the region of Transylvania, this fascinating city is a real jewel. I know you have never heard of it so chances are it won’t be crowded with tourists. That in itself is a reason to find some out of the way cities. This city is quite German in many ways from its architecture to its love of beer.

There are many interesting buildings to see if you come to Brasov. There is an old Gothic Black Church and an old town full of history. There is a lovely town square which is the center of the town. If medieval architecture interests you, this city will make you feel as if you are entering the Middle Ages. Old buildings from the Middle Ages abound here.

If you are looking for fun in an old country setting and also want to save money, Brasov is perfect because there are no mark-ups for tourist season. You can enjoy cheap beer and good but inexpensive food here. Staying here is very reasonable too. Getting here is easy too because of the country’s rail system. Enjoy an old world city with old word prices, visit Brasov.
