Lyon, France

If you want fun and excitement with a dose of history, Lyon is certainly the place for you. And for the best part, this city doesn’t attract hordes of irritating tourists; hence you will not face endless lines and have to wait hours for a table in the local restaurants. Don’t cross Lyon off your list just because it hasn’t been discovered by the tourist yet. Find out what this hip city has to offer and you will put it on your itinerary in a hearbeat.

First let’s do the serious part. The city has many Roman sites. As you all know, Caesar’s army went just about everywhere in Europe, and the Romans always made themselves at home. There is a theatre called the Amphitheatre de Tres Gauls. That reminds me of my high school Latin. Gaul was divided into three parts or some nonsense like that. Anyway, there are Roman ruins aplenty to apease the historians.

For the funlovers, the food is exquisite; the night life is lively, and you can gamble in the casinos. For all of you shoppers, you will find paradise because there are many lovely shops to browse or buy out.

There are two rivers that divide the city. They are the Rhone and the Saone. Imagine a picnic beside one of these calm and peaceful rivers.

Fun, fun, and more fun. Few tourists and more exictement than you will find in most cities. What more could you possibly want?
